ITGI Medical, a bio-medical engineering group engaged in the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of heterologous tissue covered stents, is developing the AneuGraft for the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
The AneuGraft is a pericardium covered stent (PCS) designed to act as a barrier between the blood vessel wall and its lumen thus excluding aneurysms from circulation. Preclinical tests for flexibility and navigability of the AneuGraft has been finalized successfully in animal studies and a first-in-man proof of concept has been achieved.
The AneuGraft, is a follow up to ITGI Medical’s “Over and Under” pericardium covered coronary stent which has been launched in Europe early this year for degenerated Saphenous Vein Graft (SVG), aneurysms and vascular perforation indications.
